How Do I Refer a Pet to You?
Fourways Veterinary Hospital has a dedicated Referral Coordinator who will assist referring vets and their clients to make a referral appointment, co-ordinate histories and diagnostics and to ensure that referral reports are generated and sent.
To schedule a referral appointment, please contact Deshini from Monday to Friday between 07h30 - 13h30 directly on 011 705 3411 or send an e-mail to desh@fourwaysvet.co.za
If our Referral Coordinator is not available during these hours, please contact the below:
• Medicine Department: 066 397 0532 (Please send the history to vet@fourwaysvet.co.za)
• Surgery Department: 082 210 4605 (Please send the history to surgery@fourwaysvet.co.za)
Should you need to refer an emergency case outside of these hours, please call us on 011 705 3411 and ask to speak to a Medicine or Surgery Nurse.
Should you wish to schedule a referral appointment that is not urgent, please contact our Referral Coordinator directly on 011 705 3411 or send an e-mail to desh@fourwaysvet.co.za
All Referrals require a history or a Referral letter to be e-mailed to vet@fourwaysvet.co.za or to physically accompany the patient.
A report for all referrals will be sent to the referring vet.
Internal Referrals
In some instances, where the client may have seen a generalist vet or a specialist vet is unavailable at that time, they may be internally referred to a specialist. This will be communicated to the client by the attending vet.
