Fourways Vet Hospital has a dedicated separate high-care unit that is fully staffed 24 hours a day. Animals are admitted to our high care if they require specialized post-operative care, for serious illnesses or for closer observation.
Our Intensive Care Unit is used for animals that are critically ill. Our ICU has a dedicated nurse per patient, and makes use of the best equipment, including ventilators to ensure premium care.
Fourways Vet has two isolation wards in the event of a patient being admitted into hospital with an infectious disease. Our isolation wards provide full hospital facilities and a dedicated nurse to assist dogs that have contracted Parvovirus or pets with any other infectious diseases.
Fourways Vet makes use of the latest technology. We have 3 Ultrasound machines that are used for diagnostics and imaging.
We are currently one of the only veterinary clinics to have a C-Arm Interventional Suite which our highly experienced team use regularly for intraoperative imaging during surgical, orthopedic and emergency care procedures.
Fourways Vet makes use of the latest equipment. Our highly skilled and trained staff perform regular, minimally invasive Endoscopy procedures in order to provide us with detailed imaging.
We are the only private Veterinary Hospital in South Africa to have an in-house Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner specifically designed for pets.
Our practice makes use of an advanced form of x-ray inspection - Digital Radiography. This innovative technology is able to instantly produce accurate images that aid in diagnosis.
We have a full in-house laboratory equipped with a wide range of the latest testing equipment to ensure immediate and accurate results, enabling faster diagnosis and correct treatment based on the results.
